The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa (NHA) confirms that at an Inquiry held in Johannesburg on Sunday, 11 May 2025, Jockey M Yeni was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7.  The particulars being that, as the rider of RACEWAY, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to WINGS OF ICE (C Maujean) and HAWKSDALE (G Lerena) when he shifted in, in the concluding stages of Race 1 at Turffontein Racecourse on 1 May 2025.  


The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa (NHA) confirms that at an Inquiry held in Gqeberha on Friday, 11 April 2025, Jockey Craig Zackey was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7. The particulars being that as the rider of CHEEKY LADDIE, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to KINGDOM OF HEAVEN (S Khathi) when he shifted in at the 600m in Race 7 at Fairview Racecourse on 28 February 2025. 


The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa (NHA) confirms that at an Inquiry held in Gqeberha on Thursday, 10 April 2025, Jockey K Steyn was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.11. The particulars being that he pulled up TO BE FREE abruptly, instead of easing it up gradually after the finish of Race 6 at Fairview Racecourse on 4 March 2025.


The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa (NHA) confirms that at an Inquiry held in Gqeberha on Friday, 04 April 2025, Jockey C Little was charged with a contravention of Rule 21.13. The particulars being that he failed to fulfil his riding engagement on TREASURE HUNT in Race 8 at Fairview Racecourse on 21 March 2025. 


The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa (NHA) confirms that at an Inquiry held in Cape Town on 25 March 2025, Jockey G van Niekerk was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7.  The particulars being that whilst riding ALL OUT FOR SIX, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to THE GREY KING and ONE STRIPE when he shifted in at the 150m in Race 8, HSH Princess Charlene Big Cap, over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth Racecourse on 16 March 2025.


The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa (the NHA) confirms that at an Inquiry held at its offices in Durban on 12 March 2025, Trainer Mr L F Robinson was charged with contraventions of the following Rules:
