The National Horseracing Authority confirms that at an Inquiry held in Durban on 18 July 2022, Jockey Mpumelelo Mjoka was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7.  The particulars being that whilst riding SIR POM, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to YATA (*S Hlengwa) at the 100m of Race 8 at Hollywoodbets Scottsville Racecourse on 10 July 2022. 


The National Horseracing Authority confirms that at an Inquiry held in Gqeberha on 30 June 2022, Jockey Xolane C Ndlovu was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7.  The particulars being that as the rider of MORSE, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to GOLD ROCK and TWICE TO HEAVEN approaching the 150m in Race 7 at Fairview Racecourse on 24 June 2022. 

Jockey Ndlovu pleaded guilty to and was found guilty of the charge. 


The National Horseracing Authority confirms that at an inquiry held in Durban on 15 June 2022, Jockey Serino Moodley was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7.  The particulars being that as the rider of WISHFUL GIRL LINN, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to LADY LEGEND at the 300m, in Race 6 at Hollywoodbets Greyville Racecourse on 6 June 2022.


The National Horseracing Authority confirms that at an Inquiry held in Durban on 14 June 2022, Jockey Sean Veale was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.2.  The particulars being that as the rider of RASPBERRY BERET, he rode this filly in an incompetent and unprofessional manner when he shifted inwards and struck Apprentice Jockey Mfanelo Zuma (ALABAMA SKY) with his crop on two occasions, in Race 4 at Hollywoodbets Scottsville Racecourse on 4 June 2022. 


The National Horseracing Authority confirms that at an Inquiry held in Gqeberha on Thursday 2 June 2022, Trainer Juan Nel was charged with a contravention of 72.1.44.  The particulars being that he fired an air gun at a Stipendiary Steward at a Service Station, near to Fairview Racecourse on Friday 6 May 2022, which resulted in a leg injury to the Official. 


The National Horseracing Authority confirms that at an Inquiry held in Gqeberha on Friday 27 May 2022, which was finalised on Wednesday 1 June 2022, Jockey Greg Cheyne was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.3.  The particulars being that he failed to ride MARSH MARIGOLD out to the end of Race 6 at Fairview Racecourse on 8 April 2022 to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards and thus prejudiced his chances of obtaining first place. 


The National Horseracing Authority confirms that at an Inquiry held in Durban on 27 May 2022, Jockey Craig Zackey was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7.  The particulars being that whilst riding JULIET TANGO, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to BOLD ACT (R Fourie) at the 150m in Race 7 at Hollywoodbets Greyville Racecourse on 7 May 2022.


The National Horseracing Authority confirms that at an Inquiry held on 5 May 2022 at Turffontein Racecourse, Jockey Muzi Yeni was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7.  The particulars being that as the rider of NOBLE STRIKER, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to other runners when he shifted out away from the crop in the concluding stages. 


The National Horseracing Authority confirms that at an Inquiry held in Durban on 29 March 2022, Jockey Athandiwe Mgudlwa was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7.  The particulars being that as the rider of AREA FIFTY ONE, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to CIVIL RIGHTS in the concluding stages of Race 6 at Hollywoodbets Greyville Racecourse on 13 March 2022. 


The National Horseracing Authority confirms that at an Inquiry held on 23 March 2022, Jockey Craig Zackey was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7.  The particulars being that as the rider of JURY DUTY he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to GEORGIE GEORGE leaving the 200m in Race 2 on 16 March 2022 at Durbanville Racecourse.
