• Michaelmas Handicap (Listed) 

DONALD MCDONALD has had his merit rating raised from 93 to 96 following his win in the Listed Michaelmas Handicap over 1900m at Greyville (turf track) on Sunday 17 October 2021.  The Handicappers were of the view that consistent 3^rd placed SIR MICHAEL made for the best line horse, which leaves him unchanged on a mark of 93.  In rating the race this way, 4^th placed NATIVE TONGUE effectively becomes a line horse as well, which leaves him on an unaltered rating of 106. 

Aside from the winner, the only other ratings increase was for runner-up WEALTHY, who goes up from 90 to 92.  The sole drop was for GURU’S PRIDE, who was cut from 99 to 94.
