Sea Cottage Stakes (Grade 3)
SECOND BASE has had his merit rating increased from 104 to 112 after he defied top weight and ran out a fluent winner of the Grade 3 Sea Cottage Stakes for three-year-olds over 1800m at Turffontein (inside track) on Saturday 23 January 2021.
4th placed SHAH AKBAR and 5th finisher BOLD JAZZ were both used as line horses here, which leaves them unchanged on marks of 97 and 91, respectively. Runner-up NARTJIE was raised from 95 to 100, while 3rd placed GIMMETHEGOAHEAD goes up from 90 to 98.
The only drop was for AL MUTHANA, who is down from 105 to 102.
