The National Horseracing Authority confirms that the Courier vehicle delivering the specimens that were collected from horses that participated at the Scottsville Race meeting on Sunday, 15 December 2019 and was en route to the NHA Laboratory, has been hijacked in Johannesburg. 

All the freight that was contained in the Courier vehicle, including the specimen boxes, was stolen. 

The incident has been reported to the South African Police Services.
