HANDICAPPING RATINGS UPDATE

BETWAY LONDON NEWS STAKES (Grade 3)

FIRE ATTACK’s official merit rating remained unchanged following his victory in the Grade 3 Betway London News Stakes over 1800m at Turffontein Standside on Saturday. The Handicappers believed that FIRE ATTACK had confirmed his established rating of 124 and accordingly used him as the line horse to assess the race.

The runner-up, THE ULTIMATE KING, was raised four points from 113 to 117, in line with race conditions that cap the maximum increase for placed runners at four points.

OLIVIA’S WAY dropped slightly to 115 from 116, while BUSSTOPINHOUNSLOW had already been reduced to 110 from 111 following his penultimate start.
