INQUIRY – JOCKEY ELDIN WEBBER

The National Horseracing Authority confirms that at an Inquiry held on 12 August 2022 at Fairview Racecourse, Jockey Eldin Webber was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7.  The particulars being that as the rider of RATTLE MOUSE, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to MARMARA SEA and GREAT WARRIOR at approximately the 1700m in Race 7 at Fairview Racecourse on 22 July 2022.  

Jockey Webber pleaded not guilty, but was found guilty of the charge.  

The Inquiry Board after considering the mitigating factors presented, imposed a penalty of a suspension from riding in races for a period of seven (7) days.  

Jockey Webber has the Right of Appeal against the finding and the penalty imposed.
