Protocol for the use of “glue-on” shoes

Please note that with immediate effect, the use of “glue-on” shoes has been approved for racing.

The only proviso in this regard, is that should the horse lose a shoe on the way to the start, it will be scratched from the race as the farrier will not be able to replace the shoe at the start and the horse, by implication, will not be able to race unshod, as it has poor quality hooves.

Should the horse continuously lose these shoes during the running of a race, then it may be prevented from being shod this way in future.
