NHA LABORATORY
Analytical Capabilities

The available methodologies at the Laboratory vary from sensitive immuno-diagnostic methods to drug specific mass spectrometric methods, depending on the drug class and required sensitivity (often low part per billion sensitivity).  In line with modern international advances, solid phase extraction (dual phase, synthetic phase and diatomaceous earth) and extensive use of mass spectrometry (GC/MSn and LC/MSn) as detection methodology form an integral part of analysis at the Laboratory.  Methodologies which are in place and which have been developed are designed for robustness and high throughput analysis.  This ensures short reporting times.  A 4-probe automated solid phase extraction system, 4 LC/MS systems and 6 GC/MS systems ensure that deadlines can be met even should high workloads and large contracts be encountered.
